Golf classes
Beginner Golf (AGES 5-8)
This class is open to boys and girls who are looking to learn how to play golf. In this class, students will learn about the different names of clubs, and understand the differences between clubs and when to use them. During the course of this class, students will focus on learning the basic mechanics of a golf swing, grip, and how to make contact with the ball. Half swings are the main focus of the first half of the course. Students will move on to full swings when they have the skills to do so. This class has an 8:1 ratio of students to instructor. Come join this hour-long class!
INTERMEDIATE GOLF (AGES 8-13)
This hour-long class is open to boys and girls who are looking to learn how to play golf. Students will learn the different names of clubs, and understand the differences between clubs and when to use them. Over the course of this class, students will learn the basic mechanics of a golf swing, grip, and how to make contact with the ball. In this class, students will learn and develop their half swing and full swing. Along with learning how to consistently hit the ball, students will be introduced to different types of ball flights. This class has an 8:1 ratio of students to instructor.
Advanced Golf (Ages 14-18)
This class is open to anyone who is looking to learn how to play golf. Students will learn about the different names of clubs and understand the
differences between clubs and when to use them. During this class, students will focus on learning the basic mechanics of a golf swing, grip, and
how to contact the ball. Depending on the skills of the student, student may start with half swing or full swing. In the second half of the course, students
that can hit the ball consistently with full swing will learn how to hit different types of ball flights. Students who started with half swing can
move onto full swing when they have the skills to do so. Students must bring their own clubs.
This class has an 8:1 ratio of students to instructor
Recreation Class Registration
Recreation class registration can be done at our front desk, or over the phone or online. We offer 6 8-week sessions a year with priority registration given to participants in their current class.
