CYL Volleyball League
We are excited to announce that Achieve Sports has joined the Club Youth League (CYL) Volleyball League for the upcoming 2023 season!
The 2023 season starts on September 1, 2023, and will run until October 31, 2023.
The program is for athletes in 5th – 8th grade.
- Girls in 6th-8th grade are eligible to try out. Girls in 5th grade may try out but will have to play on a 6th-8th grade team.
- Boys in 5th-7th grade are eligible to try out but must play one year up.
Tournaments will be held on every Saturday for the month of October and typically runs from 8-12 pm.
On the final Saturday of the month, the teams who have posted to best records will play in a medal tournament. All other teams will play in the final tournament of the season.
Cost: $450/player, which includes
- Club Jersey
- Practices
- In-valuable prep for high school volleyball

CYL Volleyball League – Staff Bios
Sydney Ottosen
Sydney has been playing volleyball for 14 years and has coached for 4 years. Sydney played Division II volleyball at Bloomfield College as an outside hitter and a libero. She is the head Freshman team coach at Eaglecrest High School and was the head Sophomore coach at Cherokee Trail last year. Sydney is the Court Program Manager at Achieve Sports. When not coaching or playing grass volleyball, Sydney likes to do outdoor activities such as Skiing, hiking, and walking her black lab, Wrigley.
Lucas Axmacher
Lucas has been involved with Volleyball as both a player and a coach for over 20 years! While going to Colorado State University and earning his Health and Exercise Science degree he coached youth and junior high school volleyball for the city of Fort Collins. After graduating college, he moved to Castle Rock and worked in the athletics department for the town of Castle Rock and got the opportunity to be a part of the Volleyball coaching staff at Douglas County High School as the head coach of two freshmen teams as well as being an assistant coach for Varsity. After moving to Parker, he managed a coed adult volleyball team for many years as well as facilitated and oversaw the youth volleyball program as well as officiating both youth and adult volleyball matches for many years. He now lives near the Southlands Mall with his wife Renee. He was so excited when he learned that Achieve Sports was opening up in January of 2023. Lucas is proud to be a part of the Achieve Sports Team and looking forward to coaching youth volleyball and teaching the kids the skills, confidence, and ability to be successful at volleyball and so much else in life.
Ava Robertson
Ava played volleyball for 4 years, starting at Momentum Volleyball Club, and finishing out 3 years at Colorado Volleyball Association. Ava was a middle hitter at Cherokee trail high school on the Sophomore and JV team her freshman and sophomore year. Ava has been coaching volleyball at Achieve Sports since December 2022, and loves getting to know and help kids improve their skills. While not coaching, Ava loves to read and do crafts, and play with her 5 pets!
